The program covers radiation safety, dental radiographic equipment, proper techniques, and image interpretation. Students will learn quality assurance, infection control, digital radiography, dose reduction, and ongoing professional development in dental radiology.

The program teaches students to prepare teeth for bonding, place and cure orthodontic brackets, and assist in the removal of brackets and bonding material under supervision. Students will also learn to size, fit, and cement orthodontic bands, remove excess cement with hand instruments and ultrasonic scalers, and place and ligate arch wires.
